With car sales in India being at its lowest in 18 years, carmakers have authorised dealerships across the country to offer discounts and benefits to buyers. Maruti’s premium dealership chain Nexa, presently sells the Baleno, Ciaz, Ignis and S-cross models, all of which can be had with discounts this month. Read on to see how much you can save on the purchase of a brand-new Nexa car.
Maruti Suzuki S-cross
Save up to Rs 70,000
Maruti’s Hyundai Creta-rivalling crossover is currently its most expensive model on sale. The S-cross is powered by a 90hp, 1.3-litre diesel engine that comes coupled with a 5-speed manual gearbox and mild-hybrid technology, and is currently being offered with discounts of up to Rs 70,000 on all variants. This includes a cash discount, an exchange bonus and a corporate discount of up to Rs 10,000. Dealers are looking to clear stocks of the S-cross as it is due for an update soon, with Maruti expected to introduce its in-house-developed 1.5-litre diesel and petrol engines in the SUV.
Maruti Suzuki Ciaz
Save up to Rs 65,000
The Maruti Suzuki Ciaz is only one of two sedan offerings from Maruti, the other being the Dzire. It can be had with either the new 95hp, 1.5-litre diesel engine that’s coupled with a new 6-speed manual gearbox, or a 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol unit with mild-hybrid technology and the option of either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The base and mid variants of the Ciaz (Sigma, Delta, Zeta) are being offered with a Rs 65,000 discount, while the top-spec Alpha trims, along with all variants of the Ciaz AT, have a discount of Rs 50,000. The offers come in the form of cash discounts, an exchange bonus and a corporate discount worth up to Rs 10,000.

The Ignis is one of Maruti’s slowest-selling products that is powered by an 83hp, 1.2-litre engine that can be mated to either a 5-speed manual or AMT gearbox. This month, Nexa dealers are offering all variants of the Ignis with discounts of Rs 55,000. Interestingly, the Ignis’ 1.2-litre engine is yet to be upgraded to meet the upcoming BS-VI norms, something that’s already been done on other models that’s powered by the same engine, namely, the Swift, the Dzire, the Baleno and the Wagon R.
Maruti Suzuki Baleno
Save up to Rs 45,000
A rival to the Hyundai i20 and the Honda Jazz in the premium hatchback segment, Maruti’s Baleno is available with three engine options, two petrols and one diesel. The diesel on offer is a 75hp, 1.3-litre unit that comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox as standard. The two petrols on offer are an 83hp, 1.2-litre K12B motor and the new 90hp, 1.2-litre K12C DualJet engine. Both engines are BS6 compliant and come with 5-speed manuals as standard. However, the older K12B engine gets the convenience of a CVT, while the new K12C engine gets the benefit of mild-hybrid technology. Nexa dealers are offering the Baleno with discounts of up to Rs 25,000, which includes an exchange bonus and a corporate discount of Rs 5,000. However, BS4 petrol models are available with a higher Rs 45,000 discount.
